Where do you get your support from?

The world of technology has provided us with thousands of ways to access new information every day. It is mind boggling how many opinions there are out there.

It can be challenging to sort through all of this data to find the information you need.

The last 6 weeks have been very emotional for me as I have been trying to find my way.

IN my last two  blogs I have shared my struggles with doing things alone and my quest to find myself.

It all began about 3 months ago when I invested heavily in business coaching to help me achieve my career goals. All of my coaches have different angles for helping me and initially I was excited about all of my learning. However, with all of this support I still felt very alone with all of the decisions I needed to make.

It reminds me of when I was a new mom. There were so many books out about “HOW TO” be a good parent, how to raise teenagers, how to discipline, how to be effective as a parent, how to….. It was overwhelming . Trying to do things “by the book” created a lot of stress on me because I could never find the one approach that would fit for me and my family. I felt inadequate because I could never make things work the way “the book” suggested and I still needed to decide what to do.

Building my business has been my baby.  In the past 3 months, I have let my coaches be the “experts” of MY life. I have been confused and overwhelmed between strategies, marketing, language etc. etc. I was ready to explode.

This past week, I exploded (so to speak). There has been a lot of tears and a lot of anger and finally a sense of peace.  I have gone through this time with the help of one of my coaches, Melanie Benson Strick.  She kept on asking me “what do you want” and “is this in alignment with what you want in your life”.

I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately and it feels awesome. I have gained more clarity about what I want for myself, my family, my business and for the people I am meant to serve.

My coaches have been awesome at supporting me in moving forward, however,

I have not taken responsibility to check in to me to see if their advice is in alignment with my beliefs, my values and my truth.

Whenever I act outside of my alignment, I get lost, overwhelmed and frustrated.

My greatest support comes from INSIDE OF ME.  When I tune into my body, listen to my heart and follow my intuition I find the answers to my questions.

HOWEVER, My biggest challenge is learning how to STOP long enough to tune into my body, shift my energy and quiet my mind chatter, I realize I know how to do this really well, I coach my clients on it all the time, yet I I needed to go further within my self to get it fully around my business.

What kind of support are you getting in your life?  Is it helping you get to where you want to get to?  Are you confused and overwhelmed with too much information?  Do you check to make sure the support you are receiving lines up with what is important to you.

Comment below and let me know the kind of support you need that helps you tune in to your intuition and line up with your truth.

Take care

 In love and friendship,
Gerrianne
