What is important to you?

In my last blog, I asked you to take a look at your relationship with yourself. Have you started taking time to just be with yourself, taking your intentional breaths and connecting with you? I know it takes time, but when you begin the journey of self-discovery and start developing that relationship with you, it is hard to close the door again.

Have you noticed areas in your life that you would like to change? Do you ask yourself questions such as “What do I want in my life?  What is important to me?” “What are the things that make me stand up and take notice” “What is my truth?”

Do you know what is really important to you? People use words such as: compassion, hard work, integrity, honesty, commitment, being loving and kind as important to them. For many people having a healthy family is extremely important to them. For these people what they do and how they are must align with their value of family.    All of these values are examples of what people hold near and dear to their heart. It is their truth.

In my conversations with clients, colleagues and myself, one of the values that I believe is at the core for many people but rarely identified is “connection” or “relationship” with themselves. Many people do not recognize how disconnected they are from themselves. They live their lives based on shoulds, coulds and fear that they do not even realize how much they are living by someone else’s rules.

Is this you? What is important to you? Have you taken any time to ask yourself these questions? What do you want? How do you want to feel? What is your truth? None of these are easy questions to answer but the reality is, you will not find your answers until you spend some time in reflection of the questions.

If you have not already joined the moment-is online community, I would high recommend that you do.  As a standard or premier member you will have the opportunity to go through worksheets, podcasts, group coaching and other tools to help you delve into your truth.

Take care and I will blog with you soon.
