Starting a Stress Revolution - Want to join me?

How many times do you hear “I am so stressed” during a single day?

Once, twice or several times a day. It is amazing how many people are stressed. This stress may be due to their finances, their job, their family, their car, their boss, their kids etc. The list is endless. We all can agree that people have reason to be stressed, but what can we do about it NOW.

Research and statistics show that stress can be blamed for about 80% of what ails us. But, what are we doing about it - many people are resigned to the fact that they are stressed. They don’t think there is anything they can do about it so they let it continue.

Stress hormone that accumulates in our body as the result of stress impacts not only our health but also our ability to think clearly and how we react to life’s challenges.

Did you know that if you are unable to sleep, are foggy in your thinking, short tempered, tired all the time, unable to focus on the tasks at hand, feeling sick and anxious that all of these can be attributed to stress.

What about our kids?

The amount of stress that younger generations are dealing with is staggering. Not only do their parents not know how to handle their stress, but their inability to handle stress is passed on through beliefs and behaviours that the children witness and experience. This has got to change.

Jaime Oliver began the Food Revolution with the intention of showing American schools that there is a better way of nourishing their children.  Someone needs to take charge, educate and take action steps. With every small step towards changing the negative impact of poor nutrition, the health of American children is improving.

We need to start the same with Stress. Let’s tell the truth about stress, let’s start changing the impact stress is having on our health, our relationships and our performance.

Stay tuned to this blog and my website for new opportunities to engage in a stress revolution for yourself and your family.

Blog to you later.
