Moment-Is Blog http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog Tune into your body http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/tune-into-your-body Do you know what it feels like to tune into your body and your intuition?

Many people live in their heads.  They are caught up in the rat race of life that they rely on their head to get them to where they need to get to.  But...did you know that when you live only in your head you lose out on powerful messages that come from your inner wisdom or your gut sense.

How do you know you are living in your head?  Ask yourself, what are your thoughts?  Are they here in this moment , what can I do now, what am I feeling now, what do I want to accomplish now?  Or are they dwelling on the past or worrying about the future?  Many of us are anywhere but here.

Watch today's video blog to understand more about what means to Tune into your body

Starting a Stress Revolution - Want to join me? http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/starting-a-stress-revolution-want-to-join-me

How many times do you hear “I am so stressed” during a single day?

Once, twice or several times a day. It is amazing how many people are stressed. This stress may be due to their finances, their job, their family, their car, their boss, their kids etc. The list is endless. We all can agree that people have reason to be stressed, but what can we do about it NOW.

Research and statistics show that stress can be blamed for about 80% of what ails us. But, what are we doing about it - many people are resigned to the fact that they are stressed. They don’t think there is anything they can do about it so they let it continue.

Stress hormone that accumulates in our body as the result of stress impacts not only our health but also our ability to think clearly and how we react to life’s challenges.

Are you Interested in Complaining About Your Life or Doing Somthing About It? http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/are-you-interested-in-complaining-about-your-life-or-doing-somthing-about-it  How many times have you heard yourself telling the same story over and over about how this thing or that thing is not working in your life? Do you feel like a broken record? What are you doing to make things different in your life?

The truth is, many people are addicted to the drama in their lives. They would prefer to talk about what is wrong and get agreement from others than take steps to change or improve what they can.

6 “In The Moment” Questions to Decrease Your Stress - NOW http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/6-in-the-moment-questions-to-decrease-your-stress-now We have a tremendous amount of mind chatter that goes on beneath the surface. Often the conversations are negative abusive statements such as “you should”, “why did you do that” and  “what is wrong with you?”  These can lead to feelings of stress and overwhelm as you try and quiet the mind.   Wouldn’t it be nice to speak with gentleness and kindness to yourself? To be loving and respectful of all you say and do.

The moment-is pie is a great place to steer your internal conversations onto the right track. This pie has 6 questions that help you get grounded and centered into this present moment experience - into the NOW.   People often feel stressed and dissatisfied with their life as they struggle with what is their current reality.  Learning to recognize your in the moment experience can be a great stress reducer as you learn to "be here, NOW"

Real Life Trumps Beach Life - Every Time http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/real-life-trumps-beach-life-every-time Have you ever played bridge?  When the players finish bidding they arrive at a suit that is called trump.  Trump suits win every time, no matter if you have the highest card in the deck.  What I noticed this last week is that Real Life held the trump card over my musings on the beach.

It is amazing how I was so clear and focused about what I wanted to do when sitting on the beach with my broader perspective of  life.  When I got home to the real world, the greatest plans to connect and write about my experiences fell by the wayside. That is my truth.

My life has been awesome and fulfilling but alas, I did not carry through on the writing of my experiences as I promised. I am giving myself permission to tell the truth about not doing what I said I was going to do and will find the silver lining in what I have been doing.

Where have I been

Day 8 - Easier Said than Done http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/day-8-easier-said-than-done Have you ever had one of those days that life is great, you are in your groove, you are on top of the world then all of a sudden you are racing around like a chicken with its head cut off?
Well that describes me during the last two days.

As I began work on Day 6 I was quite encouraged about how grounded I was and how well I was doing with "Living in the Moment".  I meditated for 20 minutes and felt amazing. I worked with two great coaching clients in the morning.  We did some PSYCH-K and shifting of subconscious beliefs, visualizations and goal setting, and released some emotional blocks.  I was in the flow, living in the moment, breathing, connecting with my inner self then bham!!  Things changed.

Day 5 - Back to the Real World http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/day-5-back-to-the-real-world Getting back to the real world after being on vacation can be a rude awakening.  As I travelled back from Maui with it's sun, sand and surf, I felt an incredible sense of gratitude for all that I have in my life.  Living in the moment was easy to do as I took in my last day of Paradise with my family.  I did not keep notes for my blog as I decided to let let days 3 and 4 go unrecorded.  As a brief summary, they were amazing.  We had a beautiful last day, travelled the island to take in some different sites on our way to the airport.

Flying all night to get back home was a little exhausting and when I walked into the house and saw the stack of mail and emails I needed to deal with I felt a little overwhelmed.  However, I set up a plan and a strategy for how I wanted this week to go.  I feel ready to get back to the real world.

Living in the Moment is more challenging to do in the real

Day 1 - Walking the Talk http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/day-1-walking-the-talk
So here I am Day 1 of my 21 day commitment to "Tuning into my body with my breath a minimum of 8 times during my waking hours".

As I write this Day 1 blog, I feel a little exposed.  Telling the truth about how I am trying to walk the talk on the content that I know so well is a bit scary.  What happens if people think I am a fraud?  Here I am sharing tools and techniques to help people stay grounded and connected with their "in the moment" experiences and I am struggling to achieve this myself.  But, I committed to telling the truth so here we go.

Did I follow through on my commitment?

4 Steps to Achieving Vibrant Physical Health http://www.clareconsulting.com/blog/4-steps-to-achieving-vibrant-physical-health Taking care of your physical health is something that has been written about in a multitude of ways so I am not going to try and rehash what the “experts” say you need to do. What I do know however is that taking care of me is sometimes easier said than done.   It can be a long, frustrating and lonely journey insuring that I do the things that I know help me to feel better.  I want this to change.  I want to take the steps I need to make sure that I am living the life I want.  So I am using this blog to do just that.

What I want to do through this blog is to test my belief: Change can happen slowly with the following 4 steps:
  1. Setting the intention
  2. Developing a strategy
  3. Creating a plan
  4. Telling the truth about what is working and what is not
