Living Your Truth

When do you know that you are living your truth? What does that even mean? In my last couple of blogs I have written about developing a relationship with yourself i.e. “Who are you” and finding out “what is important to you” i.e. your truth. In my coaching practice, I spend many sessions with clients helping them to discover the answers to these two questions. However, as many come to realize, it is not enough to know who you are and what is important to you. How do you make it a reality in your life – how do you live your truth?

Today’s blog touches on this next step.

This process is one of self-discovery. By becoming aware of what your life looks like, sounds like, feels like and even tastes and smells like when you are living your truth, you can start to recognize when elements of it are present in your life.   Developing an awareness of what is working in your life, when you are on track, when life feels right and true gives you some valuable clues.

How does it feel to live your truth? Many people describe feeling energized, excited, in the flow, focused, clear, “in the zone”, calm, at peace, “giddy”. Others say that time seems to expand as they get a lot of things done, they are open to possibilities, see synergies, and love their life.

Do you have times in your life when you feel “in the groove”, get a tremendous amount accomplished, feel connected with yourself and people around you, feel you are “living your truth”?

Take a few moments today and notice areas in your life where you have been “living your truth”. Write them down, try and remember
  1. what you were doing
  2. what people were saying around you
  3. what you were saying to yourself
  4. how you felt in your body
  5. what emotions you felt.
This exercise will help you connect with the essence of the time and help you reconnect with the cellular memory that you have for this feeling. When you know what it feels like to live your truth, you become aware of when that is happening in your life! When you are aware of when it is happening, you can slowly become aware of what gets in your way – which is the next step in “Living the Life you Want”!!

Blog with you later.
