Family Guidance System

Children come into this world innocent and beautiful, ready to discover their lives. Parents are excited and in awe of the ability to influence the lives of their children. However, when the realities of life hit, the challenges can be many and there is no instruction book on how to get through everything. This reality can be anything from finances, lifestyle, career expectations, to our ways of handling the different things that happen in our lives. The Family Guidance System (FGS) is here to help you find your way through the chaos of this crazy world.
Parenting has been a journey into my soul. The lessons have been many and the rewards have been endless. Yet this journey has not been the easiest to navigate as there have been many roadblocks and obstacles along the way. As I navigated through the challenges in my parenting, I sought out new ways of doing things. I searched for tools and strategies to help me get through the chaos that showed up in my life. I was not always patient and kind with my kids and I certainly was not kind to myself but I always knew that I wanted to be the best parent I could be for my children.
On my journey to becoming a better parent, I discovered a new way of being. I found tools and strategies to help me get through these times and I gained clarity on what it was that was important to me and what my vision was for my family.
How about you? Do you know what your vision is for your family? Are you clear on what is important to you? 
Without this clarity, finding your way in this crazy world can be overwhelming. Think about it, if you are not clear about what is important to you, how do you know that you are on the right track in the first place? You may have rules and guidelines for your family based on someone else’s ideas about what is important and you have never really embraced these as important to you. So when it comes time to enforcing those rules, you are wishy washy and ineffective at following through.
Have you ever used a GPS (Global Positioning system) navigation system? A GPS is a great tool to help you get to where you want to go. When you put your destination into the GPS it will ask you to proceed to the highlighted route and it proceeds navigate you to where you want to go. If you make a wrong turn along the way the GPS does not say – you made a mistake, can’t you follow directions, if simply states “Recalculating route” and leads you on your way using a different set of directions.
The
Family Guidance System or FGS is similar to the GPS with one important distinction. In the Family Guidance System
we help you gain clarity on where you want to go – your destination. With this clarity, I will work with you using the FGS to help you learn different tools, strategies and action steps to get you to where you want to go. When you make a mistake, we will “recalculate your route” to insure you get to where you want to go.
